Currently, she owns an animal training related business that offers an array of services including: Specialized Dog Training; Canine Frisbee Shows as well as providing animals for film industry. Her career as a Disc Dog competitor led her to an opportunity to travel and perform with Ringling Bros. Circus during National tour. In addition, Edlin is 1 of only 3 women inducted to the Ashley Whippet Hall of Fame. She has appeared as an expert television commentator for the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge as well as provided training tips during a segment of the television show, Cruiser’s Training Tips. As a spokesperson for the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge, she has represented the brand on various national television shows, including Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, among others. Previously, Edlin trained Detector Dogs as the Southeastern and Central Regional Canine Trainer and Coordinator for USDA’s Beagle Brigade. Throughout her career she specialized in Canine sports (Disc Dogs, Dog Diving and agility) as well as behaviors for film, print or T.V. Her present employment with Innovative Detection Concepts has offered Edlin the opportunity to utilize her scent training expertise to complete field training on 3 canines in laurel wilt detection and launching a pilot project using Detector Dogs to locate invasive reptiles in south Florida.
Edlin’s side kick “Mac” stars as the animal actor in two films, Robo-Dog and Robo-Dog Airborne. Mac, once a shelter dog, thrives on learning and enjoys his role as an ambassador for rescue dogs.
